Peace Valley Park
Looking for some space to explore? Peace Valley Park offers 1,500 acres of it! Set just about 30 minutes from our apartment community, this park features more than 14 miles of trails for hiking and biking. Many of the trails are paved as well! You can also enjoy fishing, sailing, and paddleboat rental on Lake Galena which the park surrounds. During the winter you can even enjoy ice-skating and ice-fishing on the lake! When it’s warm, take advantage of the playground and picnic facilities with the whole family.
US 202 Parkway Trail
This 8.4-mile trail has two endpoints for access: one in Montgomeryville and one in Doylestown. Either is within easy reach of our community, so pick where you’d like to hop on the trail. The Doylestown endpoint is at Routes 202 and 611, while the Montgomeryville endpoint is at Routes 202 and 63. This trail is paved so it’s perfect for running, biking, skating, or walking. It’s a 12-foot-wide path parallel with the road but separated by split-rail fencing and grassy strips. In addition to the endpoints, there are plenty of access points with ample parking along the trail.
Tyler State Park
Perhaps the closest of the many public trails near Willow Grove lies at Tyler State Park. This 1,711-acre park features a variety of landscapes to explore. Originally a farm, this park features trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, some of which run along Neshaminy Creek which winds through the land. There are picnic areas with tables as well as restrooms. You can also learn a little bit as the park offers environmental programs and historic lectures.
