Bestselling author James A. Michener (a Doylestown, PA native) paid homage to this beloved attraction in his classic novel The Fires of Spring. In tribute to our area’s history, the Willow Grove Park Mall celebrates the legacy of this amusement park by showcasing memorabilia from the park’s heyday throughout the mall and operating a beautiful carousel inspired by one of the park’s most cherished attractions.

Now, this three-story shopping mall is home to over 120 stores with Bloomingdale’s, Primark, Nordstrom Rack, Macy’s, and Sears as its main attractions. Along with these anchor stores, you’ll also find Gap, Express, H&M, Hollister, Loft, Urban Planet, and Torrid listed on the directory. Food choices range from food court staples like Chick-Fil-A and Cinnabon to fast-casual fair favorites like Saladworks and Starbucks to classic contemporary dining at Yard House.

There’s plenty of stuff for the family to enjoy at Willow Grove Park Mall such as the aforementioned carousel, Uncle Joe’s Arcade, and the Build-A-Bear Workshop. Just a five-minute drive from our apartments, the Willow Grove Park Mall is also easily accessible by local public transportation. If you prefer to ride a bike, it’s just ten minutes away and if you want to take a nice walk or run you can get there in about 15-20 minutes.
